Description

Airlines for America® (A4A) is pleased to announce the availability of ATA Spec 124 (Revision 2022.1). This edition has been revamped to standardize and bring transparency to the operators’ general ledger accounts as well as reorganized to better reflect the flow of the annual fuel consortia budget meeting.

A4A member airlines recognize the importance of comprehensive reporting and budgeting for airline fuel consortia. Strict adherence to the ATA Spec 124 spreadsheets allows the creation of a consolidated master standard budget and annual report that is an instrumental component in analyzing cost and labor data across multiple locations. This latest edition provides more in-depth guidance on the information to be included in each chapter and brings into sharper focus the cost breakouts for labor, total M&O repairs/maintenance, and total outside services, as well as clearly identifies and categorizes engineering, legal and environmental costs.

Key changes in this edition include:

Overall
•    Categorized, standardized, and defined the operator general ledger accounts to allow comparisons between locations and operators.
•    Updated tables to reflect best practices.

Chapter 2. Prior-Year Meeting Minutes and Action Items
     • Includes a new section to document prior-year meeting minutes and action items.

Chapter 6. Coming-Year Budget Premise
     • Includes a section dedicated to defining line items that should be utilized in budget books, as applicable.

Chapter 12. Fuel System Overview
•    All aspects of the fuel farm are incorporated into the Fuel System Overview chapter.

Deleted Chapter dedicated to Outside-Service Business Earnings
•    This chapter was deemed irrelevant.

We appreciate the input from our service operators and member airlines which together have resulted in the most comprehensive Spec 124 reporting to date.
