Description

The purpose of this specification is to provide a concise set of information standards and guidelines for the management, configuration and interchange of flight operations technical content for fixed-wing and rotorcraft. This Specification is focused on a data-centric approach, addressing the aircraft operator’s current and planned future operational / business requirements of these data.

Revision highlights include:

  • Added a new General Operations Data information domain for information required for operations not related to a specific aircraft type (e.g., General Operations Manual)
  • Added a new Common Repository for common data that are factorized and secured in a specific repository
  • Added a new Policy Repository for information about various types of mandates that drive or influence content within any  given content DM
  • Added new guidance to enable indexing of Data Modules by one or several terms, defined in the Common Repository DM
  • Added/updated multiple usage rules
  • Added a new mechanism for indicating Deprecated content in Spec 2300
  • Added a new Standard Common Repository Data Module containing the standard Spec 2300 Measure and Phase of Flight values
  • Revised multiple XML schemas and data samples
