Description

Airlines for America recognizes that the integrity of aircraft parts is essential for the maintenance of a safe air transportation system. ATA Spec 106 outlines and identifies various procedures that the airlines and/or suppliers, buyers and quality assurance/control inspectors could follow in approved parts quality assurance programs. This specification describes the minimum requirements for a new aircraft part/material supplier and surplus aircraft parts dealer quality program. It is designed to aid a supplier who procures new and/or surplus parts and materials and resells some or all of such products to customers in the aviation industry.
