Description

The intent of this document is that it be used as a guidance tool for the prevention of inadvertent aircraft passenger door slide deployments. This document will provide historical industry data related to inadvertent slide deployment events, the hazards associated with aircraft slides, and address some root causes of inadvertent deployments. This document introduces prevention initiatives and suggested practices including recommended policies and procedures, communications targeted toward improved awareness and training.
