Spec 1000BR_4.1: Civil Aviation Business Rules for S1000D issue 4.1, Revision 2024.1

This specification provides the specific rules for implementation of S1000D issue 4.1 in the Civil Aviation industry.

S1000D is an international specification for the procurement and production of technical publications.  It is designed to allow tailoring of the data for various products/projects through development of project-specific business rules. In S1000D, Business Rule Decision Points (BRDPs) are provided to denote specific implementation topics or questions which projects or organizations must decide in the form of business rules. In this context, the use of S1000D within the Civil Aviation industry constitutes a single project for which a single set of business rules apply. 

Revision highlights include:

• Provided the Civil Aviation business rules tables in a spreadsheet and removed them from the main spec document.
• Provided other externalized chapters in the specification download package.
• Provided a standard method for sending unverified Data Modules for testing purposes only.
• Clarified the usage of part numbers within CMP IPDs.
• Added an HTML representation of the Spec 1000BR BREX files.
