Description
ATA Spec 126 provides recommended practices for operators to mitigate and reduce the risk to passengers and crew in the event that odors, fumes and visible haze/smoke enter the cabin atmosphere but are not suspected to be related to fire. This document provides guidance and recommendations for operators in developing policy and procedures for recognizing cabin air quality events, classifying the severity level, providing suggested crew responses and reporting incidents. The specification also includes guidance for developing crewmember training to assist them in recognizing and responding to these events on board aircraft.
