Description
ATA Spec 2000 Chapter 16 provides an industry standard for the electronic exchange of the Authorized Release Certificate (e.g., FAA Form 8130-3, EASA Form 1, etc) that declares that an aircraft part has passed certain quality inspections and is approved for service. This specification has been referred to by some regulatory authorities such as FAA, EASA, Transport Canada as an approved method for exchanging Form 8130-3, Form 1, etc. in electronic format. This “e-Form” can also be used by parts distributors and suppliers as Certificates of Conformance or Transfer Documents.
