Spec 300: Specification for Packaging of Airline Supplies, Revision 2020.1

Description

ATA Spec 300 reviews the airline industry's approaches for the design, development and procurement of effective packaging of supplies shipped to a customer airline. These approaches also serve as guidelines for shipping containers for use in air transport. ATA Spec 300 provides packaging and testing guidelines for repairable and expendable units and components. Packaging standards for kits, the preparation of hazardous materials for shipment, and packaging and handling of electrostatic discharge-sensitive devices are among topics covered.

The 2020.1 Revisions include:

• Update Packaging of Electrostatic Discharge Sensitive Devices Figure
• Updated ESD test to conform with updated ESD figure
• Added Chapter 9 and information regarding Category I Case Maintenance and Service.
